Michelin has immediate opening for a Grit Blast Operator. This is a full-time position. Working hours would be primarily 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Experience with a fork truck & walk behind would be preferred.
- Basic job functions:
- Operate Manual and Robotic Grit Blast.
- Operate Walk Behind pallet lift in support of Manual Grit Blast Operation.
- Complete masking parts for paint after grit blast operation is complete.
- 5S in MGB/RGB areas.
- Valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow standardized work and work instructions.
- Complete individual work assignments within an assigned timeline.
- Must have an excellent ability to work with others and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to work within a team and take direction from other team members.
- Overtime will be required from time to time, and this may require weekends.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Dependable, lift up to 45 lbs. and work in a hot working environment and fast-paced environment.
