POSITION SUMMARYThe Accountant / AP Supervisor will perform general accounting functions within the department. This position will supervise an accounts payable staff of 3 people. This role will also be responsible for reconciliation of various general ledger accounts as well as maintenance/reconciliation of subsidiary accounting systems. The position will provide support to enhance business processes and will perform analysis and analytical review. This accountant/supervisor will also be responsible for review of entry/import activity into the Ellucian Colleague system and other accounting duties including oversight of the processing of invoices and payments by the accounts payable team.Key Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in accounting or finance or business administration plus 5 years or more of relevant work experience
• Associate Degree in one of the above fields with a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience can substitute for the Bachelor's degree
• Must have 3 years supervisory experience
• Excellent math, verbal, and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills including the use of Microsoft products, accounting software and database activity
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
• Able to work independently and practice good judgment and also work as a member of a team

• Experience in accounts payable
