As an Accounting Manager, you will play an integral part in helping to build out the consolidation function here at DraftKings. The Accounting Manager will be the second hire on this team, and will be responsible for consolidation, financial reporting, process improvement, and more.

What you'll do as an Accounting Manager:

  • Prepare the consolidated financial statements for subsidiaries by obtaining and aggregating the information for specific 10-Q and 10-K disclosures and footnotes.
  • Review balance sheet analytics to highlight key drivers and improve controls.
  • Prepare financial statements, collaborate with external auditors and tax service providers, and maintain the organizational structure for international entities.
  • Assist with reconciliation issues and coordinate requests for additional information through cross-team collaboration.
  • Oversee all intercompany processes and reconciliations, including the resolution of intercompany imbalances.
  • Prepare local annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of existing financial reporting processes and standards through tools like Netsuite.
  • Execute accounting policies and procedures to maintain appropriate internal controls and compliance.
What you'll bring:
  • BA in Accounting; CPA required.
  • 4+ years experience in accounting is required, public accounting and/or SEC experience preferred.
  • Experience with US GAAP, financial reporting, and consolidations required.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite preferred.
  • Ability to embrace change in a fast-paced environment and create new processes from scratch or redesign existing processes to meet new goals.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to break down large, complex, ambiguous goals into manageable pieces.
  • Excellent communication and team-oriented mindset.
