We are looking for a skilled, detail oriented, professional whose management skills take it one step further. You will manage and lead the Office of Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology within the Public Health Division.

This role requires the ability to implement, navigate, and assist in the development of agency policies, procedures, and operations and direct program operations throughout your management team.

$29.941 to $31.439 after successful completion of original probation

301 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, NSOB

Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 pm - hybrid work option may be available subject to approval

Examples of Work
You will be responsible for:

** High-level oversite of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) surveillance programs including Child and Maternal Death Reviews Teams, Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS), Surveillance of Emergent Threats to Mothers and Babies Network (SET-NET), the Home Visiting Performance Management System (N-MIECHV) and data management for the MCH Block Grant (Title V).

** Ensuring adequate capacity for MCH epidemiological functions by assuring
proper data management, analysis, reporting, and workforce development.

** Identifying gaps in capacity, budget preparation and coordinating resources to ensure that epidemiology and data needs related to maternal child health issues are met.

** Coordinating with stakeholders, and offering technical assistance to internal/external partners.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in public administration, social work, human development, public health, behavioral science, law, finance, human resources or other program related field AND two years of experience in a field related to the assigned program area including supervisory experience; OR a Master's degree in any of the above mentioned fields. Experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED: ** A Master's degree in public health, biostatistics, or related area, and/or a minimum of 5 years work experience in public health, particularly in the area of maternal and child health. ** Knowledge of grants, budgets, and supervision.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
** Demonstrated knowledge and skills in public health and epidemiology.

** Training and/or experience in using statistical software, such as SAS or STATA.

** Training and/or experience in using Tableau or similar data visualization application.
