CWL Test & Evaluation Specialist

Manassas, VA

Contract Position

This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft comprehensive test procedures.
  • Utilize electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Conduct Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
  • Perform installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.
  • Assist in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.
  • Support informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities.
  • Identify, analyze, and document software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Support the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.
  • Employ a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests.
  • Identify functional issues and proposing effective resolutions.
  • Operate in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
  • Develop and analyze test cases while providing regular progress updates.
  • Report to a manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.
  • Secret Clearance
  • Some travel required (in support of test events in government labs, as well as shipboard installations in domestic and international locations).
  • Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
  • 5-10 years of experience with AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, AN/BLQ-10 or Submarine Weapon Launchers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
  • Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset.
