ECS is seeking an Advanced Budget Analyst to work in our Huntsville, AL office.

Job Description:

ECS seeks an Advanced Budget Analyst to support our customer at the Missile Defense Agency's Sensors Program Office. The work is 100% remote with occasional travel to a Missile Defense Agency facility for classified work or customer meetings. Daily activities include:

  • Develops, documents, and briefs POM and President's Budget submissions
  • Manages and sends funding documents to performing activities in an expeditious manner.
  • Plans, collects, and reports financial execution metrics.
  • Effective communicates with internal and external customers.
  • Manages current and prior funds efficiently to allocate resources to meet mission priorities, develop and maintain accurate financial tools, reconcile invoices, and sweep unliquidated obligations.
  • Works with cost and engineering teams to create realistic obligation and expenditure spend plans for the life of the funds.
  • Analyzes, tracks, and manages program budget shortfalls and surpluses to realign and rephase the total portfolio budget to minimize and prevent requests for above threshold reprogramming.

Required Skills:
  • Capable of leading and executing tasks associated with Business Operations (i.e. Budget Formulation, Budget Execution, Cost Analysis, Cost Estimating, Earned Value, Financial Systems, Accounting, Foreign Military Sales) for complex weapon systems.
  • Capable of working independently and leading teams in solving complex problems.
  • Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams.
  • Security clearance requirement (TS/TS/SCI, or S).
  • An associate degree with 10-years' experience or MA/MS in a related field with 7-years' experience.

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively manage time, and work under firm and quick turn-around deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, planning, problem solving, data collection, and analytical skills.
  • DFAS experience.
  • MDA/DO experience; DAI proficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • CDFM and/or DAU BFM Level 2 certification.
