Position Overview

The Operations Anomaly Detection Analyst role in the Media Entertainment service is responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness, and integrity of the VideoScan product. The candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining the quality standards of the service by establishing and implementing processes and methodologies to ensure client deliverables are released on time, adhere to high standards, and meet client expectations. The role also requires close coordination with contacts across other internal departments including Operations, IT, Product, Research Sciences, and Operations Client Service to address quality concerns and communicate quality decisions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating and approving weekly data for validity and impact on client deliverables.
  • Identifying root cause of issues and applying preventative measures to avoid future risks.
  • Responding to internal data inquiries.
  • Executing data enhancements.
  • Developing Anomaly Detection standards by recommending and implementing changes that will increase quality.
  • Driving process improvement by establishing changes that will increase efficiency.
  • Occasional evening/weekend work to address unexpected occurrences and ensure critical production/project timelines are met.
  • Maintaining training materials and process documentation.
  • Taking responsibility for personal development by seeking training, on-the-job experiences, and input from manager.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • 2+ years' work experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Self-directed problem-solver; strong ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Naturally rigorous and organized; able to run numerous tasks concurrently to deliver results within tight timelines.
  • Analytical thinker with a strategic mind-set; makes considered decisions by anticipating issues and potential downstream implications.
  • Process driven with proven ability to identify and implement efficiencies and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective listening skills.
  • Embraces teamwork and possesses interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office with strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP; knowledge of BI tools; SAS, Power BI, MicroStrategy, and MS Access a plus.
  • Experience in retailer/industry knowledge a plus.
