Servomex, the world leader in gas analysis, have a super opportunity for an experienced Analyzer Technician to join our team in Sugar Land, Texas.

The primary responsibility of the Analyzer Technician will be the execution of in-house repair and calibration of analyzers to Servomex standards, with secondary responsibilities to provide technical support to Servomex customers. On occasion, the Analyzer Technician may be called upon to support field service operations and/or production testing as required by business needs

About the role:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of Servomex Gas Analyzers and for providing customer technical support via email and telephone communications.
  • Capable of reading and understanding Process and Instrument Drawing (P&IDs), Process flow diagrams (PFDs) and perform maintenance tasks using instrument loop sheets.
  • Maintaining and promoting a safe work environment and follow Safe Work Practices established by Servomex.
  • Maintaining electronic and paper documentation for Preventive Maintenance, Mechanical Integrity tasks, and regulatory required calibrations.
  • Frequent use of all types of testing equipment.
  • Maintaining a fleet of rental and demo analyzers.
  • To complete repair reports and any other required documentation.
  • Handle customer and channel partner telephone calls and emails, providing excellent customer service and technical assistance in a timely manner.
  • The ability to work within a fast-paced work environment to work independently.
  • Flexibility to (occasionally) undertake on-site customer visits or work/train at other Servomex locations, including international locations.
  • Responsible for executing all assigned tasked in compliance with Servomex policies and procedures.
About You:

Essential Skills, Experience and Education:
  • A degree (or equivalent) within a related engineering, manufacturing of technical discipline, Certificate of Completion, or equivalent military training
  • Proven hands-on experience working with Gas Chromatography (GC) analyzers.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with gas analyzers/sample systems within a laboratory, manufacturing, repair depot or plant maintenance environment.
  • Experience of any of the following technologies - TDL, paramagnetic, zirconia, TCD, coulometric, Infrared, Moisture, Plasma, Thermal conductivity, and Spectroscopic based technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, PC based service software (Field Service Lightening, Service Max).
  • Knowledgeable in electronic circuits, control systems, PLC's, signal transmission, Modbus communication, schematics and diagrams.
  • Experience using various testing meters, calibration equipment, vent hoods, and gas blender/mixers.
