Summary:

The Ascendon Application Support Intern is accountable for supporting the applications delivered by the Ascendon Product Development Teams that includes incident management and facilitating software delivery and improvements and system monitoring.

Position Details:

  • Ticket intake and triage
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, triage application defects
  • Follow Incident Management procedures
  • Incident ownership from inception to resolution
  • Work with stakeholders to gather data and drive issues to resolution
  • Respond to requests such as clarifying functionality and configuration and completing service requests
  • Monitoring and maintaining environments
  • Investigate and Resolve Software Issues leveraging significant involvement from the team and external resources
  • Work with Development Teams, Client Services and Managed Services for issue resolution
  • Monitor and maintain production, customer test and internal environments
  • Complete Service Requests; Create and Refine Internal Documentation
  • Participate in and contribute at daily stand-up meetings
  • Respond to internal requests about functionality and configuration
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of SQL Databases, Caching concepts, Network and Infrastructure models
  • High comfort level with context switching and multi-tasking
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical levels
  • Ability to work full-time out of our Chicago office from June- August

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AWS Cloud Services, Postman, Elasticsearch, Kibana, JIRA and Remedy

Education:

  • Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical, Software, or Telecommunications) or related field with an anticipated graduation date in 2022 or 2023
