RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced BI Data Warehouse Developer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Maryland Heights, MO.Summary:Business Intelligence Developers must be data experts, as they work primarily with databases and different types of software. Often abbreviated as BI Developer, this job involves developing and fine tuning IT solutions. That can include anything from coding, testing, debugging, designing, or implementing newly developed tools. A BI Developer spends a lot of time researching and planning solutions for existing problems within the company. BI Developers also are responsible for building online analytical processing (OLAP). They also work with databases, both relational and multidimensional. BI Developers are often responsible for managing others in the IT department or in the company. This position is most commonly found in office environments in large corporations and in IT companies. Most BI Developer positions require a degree in computer science or programming and a substantial amount of work experience, usually around seven years. As the primary focus of this position is to solve problems, BI Developers must always mine data and present it in an understandable way. They should be capable of creating tables, writing reports on their findings, and simplify highly technical language for others in the company.REQUIREMENTS:
- 5- 10 years of experience
- Experience as a Data Warehouse Consultant or building a data warehouse from scratch
- Experience interfacing with Tableau or Alteryx
- Experience working within an Agile environment; knowledge of Agile ceremonies
- Familiar with ETL tools and experience resolving use cases within those tools
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience migrating resource data to MongoDB from data lakes
- Experience utilizing and migrating resource data within a data lake
- Experience with creating/logging user stories in Jira
- Experience using Confluence to create pages and content for collaborative work efforts
- Experience with requirement elicitation
- Experience using Gliffy for the creation of visual diagrams
- Experience in the Telecommunications industry
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
