RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a dedicated and skilled BIM Specialist to join our dynamic team across multiple locations and teams in the US. Possible locations include: Sunnyvale, CA/Reno, NV/Mesa, AZ/Prineville, OR. The BIM Specialist is expected to work onsite daily and be a cross-functional team member to -bridge the gap- between various business units to achieve common goals. Job Description:As a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialist, you will play a crucial role in documenting and coordinating architectural, construction, and operational models for various mission-critical facilities. Working closely with internal and external teams, you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of BIM models while supporting the management of BIM-relevant initiatives under the guidance of the BIM Program Manager.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain detailed and accurate BIM models for large and fast-moving projects, collaborating with internal and external teams, engineering discipline leads, and project managers
- Standardize file and document formats to ensure consistency and clarity across projects
- Set up and maintain large, federated building models involving multiple design and engineering disciplines
- Conduct clash detection and coordination between disciplines and stakeholders to resolve conflicts efficiently
- Oversee the coordination model produced by various design teams and third-party vendors
- Hand off completed record/as-built models and drawings to facilities teams for future maintenance
- Research, introduce, and support the implementation of industry-leading BIM technology
- Identify conflicts with design elements and present strategic solutions for resolution
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and reality capture applications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, IFC, and data interoperability
- Experience with construction and cost control, including quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure and BIM parameters
- Proficiency with both Mac and Windows systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, project tracking, and analysis
- Project management and tracking experience
- Willingness to explore and learn new tools and processes
- Knowledge of access management and process optimization
- Willingness to travel to sites for continued learning and career growth, as needed
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Construction Management, Civil, Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- MEP Engineering experience
- Familiarity with CAD and BIM templates
- Experience with Dynamo or programming
- Background in drafting and modeling
- Experience with Revit/APS API
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
