Biomedical Equipment Tech II - 40 Hour Day shift
Salem Hospital

Under the supervision of the Manager/ BMET Supervisor of Clinical Engineering maintains and assists in the management of medical equipment by installing, calibrating, repairing, and inspecting medical equipment and solving the most complex technical problems to minimize downtime and reduce delay in patient care. Coordinates evaluations and installations of equipment. Assists in the development of procedures. Identifies system problems. Teaches clinical and technical staff basic repair, troubleshooting and design.

Qualifications
Requires:

• Three to five years experience as a BMET. Experience in anesthesia and/or respiratory therapy equipment and pneumatic systems preferred. Ability to utilize related test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeter, and oscilloscopes. Must possess basic computer skills for data entry. Ability to read, write and speak English
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A Valid and Current Driver's License, and clean driver's record per NSMC policy, which will be reviewed annually during employee's employment.

Associates degree preferred.
