Office Location & Schedule: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE, with potential for some telework after an onboarding and training period, contingent upon proper agency approvals.

Pay Rate:

$32.154/hour

This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate. The "Classification Salary Range" above is not a listing of available funds.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborates to determine business needs and requirements, agree on system principles, and analyze and document business processes.
  • Provides technical assistance related to automated applications and assists with development and delivery of training opportunities.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends software application solutions to business needs and serves as primary contact for application developers to answer workflow and design questions.
  • Documents business system operations and proposed modifications, participates in system analysis and design, develops system specifications, and performs system testing.
  • Ensures business processes and operations are in compliance with industry standards for accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to implement business requirements, identify issues, and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrates commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Working Conditions and Travel:

This position requires approximately 95% of work time spent in an office environment (e.g., state offices, home offices); the remaining 5% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as conferences, meetings, or trainings. There is also approximately one day of overnight travel per month.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, computer engineering, or management information systems, and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and\or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification related to Lean Six Sigma or ITIL Service Management, and experience with SDLC methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, software testing tools and frameworks).
