Description Position Title: Collaborative and Holistic Academic Mentoring Peer Success (CHAMPS) MentorReports to: Vice President for Inclusive ExcellenceHourly Rate: $16/hour up to 10 hours a weekSession: Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 Academic YearJob Purpose: Reporting to the CHAMPS Project Manager, the CHAMPS Mentor will be responsible for assigned students (mentees) from underrepresented communities. The mentor will serve First-Generation, Pell-Eligible, and BIPOC students during their first year at the University of Lynchburg. The mentor will focus on the growth and development of mentees through the topics of academic support, social acclimation, and personal support. The mentor must be able to work responsibly and independently. The mentor must have strong organizational skills to support multiple initiatives and individuals and demonstrate commitment to promoting and supporting an environment of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
