COVID Vaccination Requirement
Consistent with long-standing practices requiring health care workers to be vaccinated against serious infectious diseases for the safety of patients and staff, Centra will require COVID-19 vaccinations for all new and current employees and those who work in Centra facilities as a condition of their employment. If hired to work at Centra, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination or be willing to receive the vaccination. Medical and religions exemptions may be requested.
Chaplain Resident CPE - LAC Clinical Pastoral Care - Lynchburg, VA
The role of chaplain resident is an essential link in this department's capacity to fulfill its mission of ministry to patients, families, and staff in this hospital. The chaplain resident also participates in the department's educational mission. That mission is carried out in a community setting in which the resident is both a giver and receiver in the educational peer group. Accepting a residency position, therefore, involves the student in many accountability relationships that are essential to ministry in our hospital facilities, to the attainment of the resident's educational goals, and to the attainment of the educational goals of his/her resident peers.
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college. Successful completion of one unit of ACPE accredited Clinical Pastoral Education. On a limited occasion and at the discretion of the CPE Manager, work experience may contribute to the education requirement. Pastoral ministry experience in a faith community.
