The Chemical Packaging Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma will complete the following tasks daily: Stage, fill (manually or semi-automatically), cap, label and over-pack liquid and solid products per approved packaging specifications while using all required safety equipmentComplete appropriate packaging documentation per ISO proceduresDeliver products to inventoryFollow and support all safety and quality procedures and systemsShift/Hours: 12 hour night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM - 2/2/3 schedule (M/T on, W/R off, F/S/S on, M/T off, W/R on, F/S/S off, repeat)

Physical Attributes:

Wear an air helmet, mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and gogglesStand for extended periods of time with repetitive movements throughout the shiftWork with and in proximity of hazardous chemicalsLift and/or move up to 50 lbsUse close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Chemistry or other science related fieldPrior industrial or chemical handling experienceApply SOPs, cleaning protocols and work and conduct rulesStrong mechanical proficiency and basic mathematical skillsLegible handwriting and strong oral and written communication skillsGood problem solving, time management and organizational skillsAbility to operate a forkliftAbility to train others and work in a team setting
