Job Summary

The Commercial Data and Reporting Specialist will create and manage a suite of standard reporting and/or a dashboard on the SFS Commercial portfolio. To include high level portfolio performance, new/lost accounts, red flags, risk scoring, etc. As we are a new department, this is an opportunity to help shape a captive automotive commercial lending department for long term success. The first several months will be spent in part developing processes and policies and working with key vendors on systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Personal career growth work with manager to map a development plan tailored to your personal career goals
  • Ownership of all reporting for the SFS Commercial Department. To include consultation with internal customers, report creation, and maintenance
  • Focus on automation. Manual reports should be the exception, automation the rule
  • Focus on simplicity of data visualization. Good reporting should require little to no explanation
  • Disseminate reporting to applicable stakeholders
  • Ad hoc reporting we will always strive to standardize and automate, but expectation is there will still be necessary ad hoc reporting
  • Act as occasional back up for Inventory Audit Specialist and Commercial Specialists

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a college degree or MBA. Candidates should have 3+ years experience in data visualization and reporting, preferably in financial services or automotive industries (or both). Experience preparing reporting or data visualizations for executive consumption in tools such as Tableau, SalesForce, and Power Point is preferred.

Financial Skills Candidates should have basic knowledge of accounting, financial statements, cash flow, and risk management.

Mathematical Skills Algebraic calculations are periodically required to calculate items relevant to a commercial lending.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have beginning to intermediate MS Office skill in Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Other Qualifications: Knowledge of industry specific tools such as Tableau and SalesForce. Experience with data mining and applicable data mining software.

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
