Job Purpose

  • Contributes to the development and execution of the commercial strategy and achievement of the business goals and objectives.
  • Is responsible for managing key commercial andglobal projects, defining the strategic framework including future vision, high level business objective, value propositions, and activation plans, and guides implementation on global level.
  • Is responsible for managing the Aerospace CSAT process and monitoringaccuracy of customer database and global responses.Including follow up and development of actions based on results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Has a holistic view of the commercial & strategic marketing effort across the Business Unit.
  • Supports strategy planning cycle and process with responsibility on the marketing activation strategy & implementation with commercial teams (sales & technical service) including reporting, tracking & Key Performance Index (KPI) setting
  • Creates & implementsthe strategy development of cross-functional initiatives for key strategic imperatives such as SPPA, color and digital.
  • Safeguards strategic alignment between business targets, commercial initiatives, commercial marketing projects, and central projects to provide focus and set priorities
  • Stays on top of relevant market trends and customer insights across segments to drive decision making and further improve customer experience
  • Supports global NPI's, developing activation plans for New Product launch alignment between the commercial sales and product management organization
  • Stays in close and frequent contact with Sales and Product Managers to ensure a good bi-lateral understanding of customer segmentation, market requirements, customer needs, overall value propositions and brand positionings and takes joint actions for gap closing activities if needed
  • Contributes to thoughtful and creative discussions with project sponsors and stakeholderson strategic goals, resources, scheduling, plans and challenges
  • Supports alignment between functions, connecting internal expertise with markets needs to boost innovation
  • Is the front-facing lead on behalf of the Commercial Marketing organization in relation to Product Management.
  • Drive the commercial marketing requirements for global product introductions setting a clear list of marketing requirements.
  • Represents AkzoNobel on relevant Industry groups for the markets covered by the BU.
  • Familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Supports an open environment in the team where all people can perform at their best and stimulates the development of others and ensures an engaged marketing team.
  • Manages and plans relevant (departmental) budget and proactively manages the costs.
  • Reports on progress on a continuous basis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing/business or similar through experience
  • Working experience in commercial environment, minimum 8 years.
  • Excellent networker a negotiator with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of leading large, complex projects
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Experience working across regions, countries and across multiple business cultures (multiple market segments preferred)

Rewards & Benefits

Base salary range for this role is: $ 105,000 to $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
