Corporate Finance - Manager

This role offers the opportunity to join the Finance team at Regeneron. The Manager, Corporate Finance will play a critical role in the company's budgeting/forecasting process by compiling inputs from across the organization to produce an integrated P&L forecast for use by senior management, board members and other key stakeholders.
This position will partner with finance colleagues in Program Finance, Alliance Finance, G&A, R&D, Clinical, Manufacturing and Commercial/Medical Affairs to explain variances and ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue and cost inputs. In addition, this individual will work closely with Accounting and Tax departments to ensure forecasts accurately reflect anticipated accounting treatment and tax rules.A typical day might include the following:

• Managing the budgeting/forecasting process
• Reviewing data inputs from functional finance colleagues, and working with Hyperion administrator to ensure inputs are converted accurately to revenues / expenses.
• Ownership for certain forecast items (e.g. stock option expense, royalty income, deferred revenue amortization, tax expense, fully diluted share count, etc)
• Oversee the preparation of board presentations and monthly/quarterly actual vs forecast reports
• Continuously improve reports/presentations to help senior leaders quickly understand financial trends, drivers and business insights
• Provide analytical support for financial guidance to investor community
• Support Corporate Strategy department by maintaining long range plan model
• Work with Investor Relations to provide analytical support for earnings call scripts
• Work cross functionally with Accounting and Tax to ensure the latest pronouncements / regulations are accurately reflected in the forecast
• Ad hoc modeling/analytical projects (e.g. impact of financial transaction on integrated financial statements, key metrics)
• Continuously evaluate existing procedures and systems to find opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency

This role might be for you if:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting or related field
• 4-5 years of proven experience in corporate finance
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, Hyperion experience a plus
• Facile understanding of how an accounting event flows through P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, EPS and taxable income
• A motivated, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
• Must be highly conscientious in all aspects of work product: accuracy, attention to detail, aesthetic presentation of data
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to engage comfortably with Senior and Executive leaders
