Description: Our client is currently seeking a Counselor
As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in overseeing all aspects of a patient's treatment journey. From admission through discharge and follow-up, you'll be responsible for coordinating and ensuring continuity of care. Your focus on performance improvement and service delivery will involve providing comprehensive psychological therapy to address addiction causes and effects through individual, family, and group counseling.
Requirements (Specific to Indiana): Counselors must be credentialed under DMHA with qualifications such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor, Psychologist, Physician, Advanced Practice Nurse, or Certified Nursing Specialist. Additionally, credentials from nationally recognized bodies such as Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant (CADAC I-V), Addiction Professional in Training (APIT), Certified Addiction Counselor (ICAC I-II), National Certified Addiction Counselor (NCAC I-II), or Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) are accepted.
