Our client is currently seeking a Remote Data Security Engineer to join their technology and product security organization.
The position will deliver engineering products that will support the overall Security Services roadmaps, which will include requirements grooming, working with partner engineering teams to develop the solutions, testing and validation, operational handover processes, and ongoing technical leadership.
•Develop data ingestion, storage, search, and delivery methodologies with Kafka, cloud solutions, Databricks, and Snowflake to support a wide array of data sources and types.
•Develop Security Event Monitoring strategies leveraging standard "baseline" methodologies and advanced correlation techniques with OSINT, related systems and applications, and other data sources to enhance overall security posture and service to our customers.
•Establish effective measurement and reporting methodologies to manage performance and effectiveness of key security programs through the development and deployment of dynamic KPI dashboards and reports.
•Analyze new and existing technologies, processes, and services to build new services and solutions to deliver to business and residential customers.
•Partner with product teams to provide technical leadership and guidance.
Skills and Qualifications
•Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to develop a strong rapport across a variety of technical and non-technical teams.
•Experience working with Kafka and cloud environments to manage data collection, parsing, storage, and search capabilities.
•Experience working with Python, SQL, Java, and Serverless Technology
•Experience working with Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure to deliver big data platforms
•Experience working with analytics platforms like Splunk, Databricks, Snowflake, and Tableau
•Experience building dynamic Tableau dashboards that are utilizing advanced features such as LOD calcs, parameters, Extensions API
What We Require
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in engineering or computer science
•8+ years of related experience.
