Law Firm located near Bryant Park is seeking to hire a Temporary Development Project Coordinator, to start ASAP and extend into November. Position requires 30 to 35 hours of availability a week, with a hybrid and flexible schedule. Role is in office 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and provides support for all projects related to strategic partner hiring and growth; lateral integration; non-US & US office integration and collaboration; and other strategic initiatives that are focused on growing and developing the Firm;
  • Develops and maintains templates, best practices, and other documents to maintain and improve efficiency within the Department;
  • Conducts research and due diligence related to potential laterals, potential lateral groups, geographic markets, industries, as well as peer & aspirational firms;
  • Conducts research related to existing clients, potential clients, industries, and geographies;
  • Conducts research related to competitors and strategic firm wide initiatives;
  • Assists in maintaining, updating, and organizing all recruiting and development materials maintained by the Firm Development Department;
  • Assists in the development, editing, and production of presentations prepared and customized for firm leadership, partners, recruiters, and potential laterals;
  • Provides project coordination support to the CDO and the Firm Development Department;
  • Simplifies, organizes, and streamlines various forms of information, templates, and data utilized by the Department;
  • Coordinates with other departments, including Business Development, Conflicts, Partner Hiring, Finance/Accounting, Attorney Recruiting, and Talent as needed;
  • Be entrepreneurial and proactive and identify projects that will add value to the overarching goals of the CDO and the Firm;
  • Works closely with the CDO to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Two plus years of marketing, business development or recruiting experience in a professional services environment, preferably within the legal industry
  • One or two years of research experience in a professional services environment required, preferably within the legal industry
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities and deadlines;
  • Ability to handle pressure and be proactive;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong analytical writing and researching skills;
  • Capable of handling many projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently;
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.

Compensation:

  • Up to 33/hr, DOE
