Position Summary

The University of Denver is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager for a full-time benefited position in the Office of Communications, Marketing, Graduate Admissions and Events (OCMGAE) at the Daniels College of Business. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team that is responsible for brand development, internal and external communications, enrollment marketing, graduate program admissions, and major events for the College. This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing.

Essential Functions

Content Creation: Write, design, deploy and measure all centralized external email campaigns, including automated drip campaigns and ad hoc emails for recruitment events, application deadlines and enrollment initiatives, and recommend and implement optimizations. Measure performance of internal email campaigns and recommend optimizations. Write copy, create graphics, deploy and measure all social media content (copy and visuals). Create digital monitor slides and print calendars for internal building communications.

Other: Serve as Slate representative on the Office of Graduate Education's Slate user group and subcommittees. Serve as back-up on design projects the brand manager leads.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Excellent writer and editor
  • Experience implementing email marketing plans
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized and uses time well
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' experience in digital marketing (email marketing, social media, design, etc.)
  • Writing/editing experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline, or two additional years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Email marketing experience. Slate and iModules platform experience is a plus
  • Organic social media oversight, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn
  • Advanced experience with graphic design programs (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Experience in a college or university marketing environment
  • Experience with project management software. Wrike is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AP Style
  • Proficient in HTML
Working Environment

Standard office environment with four days a week in person on DU's campus
Unexpected interruptions often occur, and stress level is moderate to high
Noise level is quiet to moderate

Physical Activities

Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period
Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 pounds

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 9.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $56,000-$62,000

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
