This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Director of Medical Imaging Site Planning, y ou will be responsible to :

  • Manage planning department, including maintaining a Service Level Agreement for drawing lead-time and quality metrics. Anticipate planning peaks to ensure that lead times are maintained and minimize impact to overall organization.
  • Drive the development of accurate equipment site preparation drawing packages, including coordination with Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical, for customer sites.
  • Drive improvements in overall planning processes and structure.
  • Manage drawing quality peer-to-peer review process.
  • Champion emerging technologies such as 3D modeling, BIM, AR/VR in a healthcare design and construction space.
  • Create, utilize, and maintain central dashboard for reporting planning metrics, quality, and other key indicators.
  • Ensure the retention of all key project information for permanent reference in Project Archives
  • Lead special assignments or projects as required.
  • Evaluate resource and training needs and develop short and long term training plans for all employees
  • Resolution of c ustomer and installation issues including detailed requests from local Regulatory agencies (Seismic Requirements/OSHPD/ADA/FGI/AHCA).
  • Maintain planning resources (typical drawings, cutsheets, etc.) on internal portal to ensure accuracy and availability for field resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive, collaborative, working relationships with field project management and sales teams.

  • This position is responsible for the leadership of the Siemens Site Planning Department which provides our external customers with site specific preparation specifications for systems in support of modality sales, focused on logistics, installations, and construction.
  • The Director of USA Site Planning will oversee a team of modality planning principles, site planners, and planning scheduling manager, across the United States. The candidate will ensure the department is meeting key production metrics, quality measures, field coordination, and maintain industry leading excellence.
  • This role will report to the Head of the Project Management Organization (PMO) and will provide site planning support for the Solution Implementation and Sales Organizations for Siemens Medical Equipment.

Required skills to have for the success of this role
  • BS/BA in related discipline and 12 years experience in healthcare design and construction, medical equipment/life science planning, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional know-how and experience in managing a team of subject matter experts. Transfers and applies know-how to/in various contexts.
  • Improves existing processes and approaches.
  • Proactively shares knowledge within own team (incl. virtual & matrix team).
  • Impact on results in own area.
  • Advanced management understanding in order to lead and align employees in different workflows and/or projects organization environment.
  • Understands symbolic architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical elements of equipment
  • Understands basic electrical and power-related references and terms
  • Knowledge of FGI standards and application in relation to medical equipment installation.
  • Extensive experience working with matrixed teams, customers, and contractors
  • Experience with installation of multi-modality medical equipment.
  • Intermediate understanding of construction, electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge and Experience in the use of CAD for medical equipment or life science applications.
  • Knowledge of Seismic Requirements/OSHPD/ADA/FGI/AHCA from a planning and design perspective.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
