Position Overview:
LightBox is a leading provider of property centric data solutions, due diligence, risk management, location intelligence and workflow solutions that enable decision making for 50,000 CRE brokers, 1,100 banks and lenders, 2,000 appraisal firms and 5,000 environmental consulting and engineering firms.

We are looking for an innovative, forward-thinking leader to help shape and build LightBox's Location Based Analytics Solutions Engineering group. Our ideal candidate is an experienced technical solutions engineer with a strong solutions and management background. You are comfortable leading a team and providing valuable insight on creative deal and pricing structures and identifying additional needs that go beyond upfront asks.

As a Director, Solutions Engineering, you will lead a team of SE's and work directly with our sales team to close deals. Your role is to assist our Sales team to present our products, craft custom solutions to meet the wide variety of needs of our vast customer base to provide a ROI that sets our products apart from our competitors. Your daily activities will have you working closely with Solutions engineering, the LightBox leadership team, Sales, Product Management team, Engineering, and data provisioning team to ensure that LightBox is holding to an industry standard that meets the expectations of an industry leader in the Location Intelligence space.What you will do and achieve:

  • Build and manage a Solutions Engineering team to advise, track deal flow, track evaluations, and action items.
  • Be the technical expert on client calls presenting our solutions in various ways.
  • Communicate our solutions at the executive level, the developer level, and all levels in between.
  • Engage directly with our prospects, account executives, and our sales leadership team to validate and identify use cases to support additional profit streams from existing data assets or additional datasets.
  • Present current and past metrics to Sales leadership on performance and level of engagement
  • Provide ongoing training of existing solutions, new solutions and products to new and existing account executives, business development representatives and mid-market Sales representatives.
  • Become the subject matter expert for all use cases, data needs, workflows, and user personas within each of our primary segments.
  • Work directly with Digital Solutions to define solutions, determine SOW and work with the team to present the SOW to our prospects.
  • Create custom code samples for prospects to integrate into their systems allowing for live evaluation of our services and datasets.
  • Communicate best practices in using the LightBox API and various data solutions to our prospects and clients.
  • Take a hands-on approach to our product suite and identify creative solutioning around existing products and crafting new solutions to meet the dynamic needs of our customer base.
  • This is an exempt position within the $120-150K range based on a 40-hour work week.
Who you are:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Experience
  • 7+ years' experience in solutions engineering specifically in location intelligence, Big Data, SaaS, and/or the API integration business model.
  • 5+ years' experience in management
  • Experience in the real-estate data and analytics space.
Key Knowledge & Skills
  • Exposure to common API technologies and concepts
  • Outstanding client engagement skills, including ability pull out requirements and solution needs
  • Strong project management, analytical and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in common programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and C#
  • Comfortable with mapping libraries such as MapBox, Google, Microsoft and ESRI
  • Be a thoughtful collaborator with cross-functional teams

Physical Requirements
  • Regular Office Environment: Lifting up to 25 lbs., Sitting for extended, continuous periods of time, Communicating via telephone etc.
