Position Summary

Leads site Scheduling, Purchasing, ERP, Warehousing and Logistics teams in Lincoln, NE and White Hall, IL to define a cohesive site supply strategy and roadmap, define and deliver logistics optimization priorities, forecast site production goals, model site capacity, and shift structure requirements, and orchestrate day to day, transactional intra-company activities required to ensure reliable supply.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supports integration of site Scheduling and corporate Planning processes with S&OP, RCCP, LRFP, and Short-Term Exceptions Management / Issue Management processes
  • Informs and deploys business strategy to create competitive advantage through advanced production long range capacity modeling expertise
  • Partners with Global Supply Planning to communicate any service level risks and utilizes the Demand Resource Planning (DRP) system to generate supply visibility
  • Demonstrates impact in complex leadership roles with E2E approach and collaborative, influence-based leadership approach
  • Proven skill to balance focus across: operations and customers, global and regional, corporate and product segment
  • Shared accountability for OTIF (On-Time In Full) as part of the Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) network; drives continuous improvement against failure modes linked to site performance including partnering to address E2E issues
  • Shared accountability with Global Supply Chain Management for optimizing inventory levels, provides strategies to optimize balance between site capacity and enterprise finished goods inventory levels by influencing E2E product flows and network design
  • Shared accountability with Global Supply Chain Management for driving cost to serve, ensures a process is in place to provide access to cost to serve implications of E2E processes and choices, jointly sets and works to achieve cost to serve and finished product inventory optimization targets
  • Shared accountability with Global Supply Chain Management to ensure a robust foundation in compliance including trade compliance, CLS Quality, EH&S, financial compliance, foreign trade zone
  • Builds a diverse organization that will embrace a culture of continuous improvement, data-based decision making, and customer service with a strong sense of mission
  • Develops talent and continues to demonstrate functional excellence; actively sponsors and mentors key talent across the site, builds leadership capabilities in team
  • Supports site and customers by providing visibility, analytics and driving continuous improvement focused on OTIF, OEE, Inventory, and Cost to Serve
  • Supports Global Supply Chain Management by integrating scheduling and site strategy within core planning processes (e.g., rapid response, issue management / partner concerns, strategic capacity planning, S&OP and E2E product flow optimization)
  • Works with Global Supply Chain Management and GMS Strategy to drive distribution network optimization initiatives
  • Supports annual budgeting process by generating a data-based volume forecast, based on a standardized equipment and labor capacity model.
  • Owns ERP system, master data and ensures BOMs, routers and capacity are accurately maintained and leveraged to support planning, scheduling and RCCP analysis

Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree minimum
  • A minimum of 10 years of related business experience
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience working in or partnering with supply chain functions
  • A minimum of 2 years people management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complexity across a broad product portfolio

  • preferred candidate qualifications
  • An MBA, Master's Degree, or other Advanced degree
  • Understanding of Value Stream or S&OP processes
  • Experience working in a regulated environment or biopharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Experience with a focus in Customer Service, Operations, Strategy, and management of large programs
  • Strong understanding of core Order Fulfillment processes (Customer Service, Warehousing and Transportation), planning and WH systems

Technical Skills and Competencies Required
  • Strong knowledge of production, inventory, and planning systems
  • Strong supply chain data analysis skills utilizing M-ERP and spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated proven capability to effectively lead and develop others, optimize team and organizational performance, execute strategic and operational plans, lead and manage change
  • Ability to conceptualize, analyze and implement new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to function and influence in a team matrix environment and have excellent interpersonal, planning and management skills.

  • Fluent in SAP ERP System Setup and Usage
  • Strong demonstrated negotiation skills.

Physical Position Requirements

The work conditions for the position are greater than 50% stationary with periodic standing and walking through out the workday(s). The colleague(s) may be required to travel and or work greater than 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays to support the business. Must wear appropriate gowning and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in manufacturing/production areas.
