As a Divisional Assistant within Byline Bank, you will perform administrative and support activities for multiple lenders within our Specialized Lending group. Our DivisionalAssistants model standards that guarantee exceptional quality and necessary attention to detail to meet and exceed customer expectations. The Loan Admin Assistant will manage his/her time wisely and effectively prioritize multiple and competing tasks in support of the commercial lending team. You will communicate clearly and concisely through telephone conversations, memos, e-mails, letters, reports and other documents. S/he will communicate an outgoing and friendly professional demeanor not only to customers but to internal employees as well.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provides administrative functions for the Specialized Banking team.
  • Creates and maintains credit and legal files for the department.
  • Books loans, including the completion of Loan Input Worksheets and copying documents for lender files.
  • Tracks booked loans, loan fees and payoff disbursements.
  • Prepares line draws, account transfers, wire transfers when needed and follows up on exception items.
  • Works with loan officer to determine and open the appropriate accounts and obtain necessary documentation
  • Provides any customer service functions with regard to commercial accounts including stop payments, loan referrals, ordering checks, establishing credit cards, etc.
  • Order appraisals, title, floods and other loan related documentation
  • Update, monitor, and customer information requests for loan servicing tickler report
  • Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience
  • Teller and/or Personal Banking experience is a plus
  • Extensive related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PC proficiency in a Windows environment required.
  • Previous customer service experience in financial services industry or related industry.
  • Previous administrative/secretarial experience required.
  • Familiarity with Treasury Management products.
  • 2 years: Previous banking experience
  • 2 years: Previous admin experience

  • The usual office environment does require frequent sitting, walking, stooping, climbing stairs & ladders, standing, and ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. There is the frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Also, oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $75,200. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Byline Bank offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
