This is an individual contributor leader role where you will work directly with executives and their leadership teams to understand their business needs in order to impact the following areas: Workforce Planning, Organization Design, Succession Management, Leadership and Talent Development, Organizational Performance, Performance Management and Engagement. You will also collaborate with other HR functions to create, implement, execute, and measure talent solutions in support of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic relationships with executive and senior business teams to establish credibility as a trusted advisor to influence, support key strategic decisions and proactively recommend and execute solutions that directly impact business results
  • Optimize transformational change efforts by providing consulting support, guidance, and a framework for leading and managing organizational change
  • Consult on leadership capability, create succession plans, conduct talent assessment, identify critical roles, and ensure leadership development plans are in place
  • Increase the buy-in and capabilities of leadership teams to apply talent management practices to build bench strength and ensure a ready pipeline of successors
  • Identify and monitor key talent metrics to achieve established talent goals and close gaps
  • Partner with executives to establish performance management and compensation strategy, lead annual HR core process execution in partnership with HR COE's
  • Work with COE leaders to develop and deliver solutions to improve employee engagement and business results across C.H. Robinson
  • Consult on communication needs tied to changes in strategy, structure, leadership and/or projects

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources or related degree
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR or related business experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working directly with senior and/or executive level leaders
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestically and internationally)

Preferred:

  • Strong strategic planning, problem solving/critical thinking skills, and ability to evaluate broad impacts of work and execute plans
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, including executives
  • Demonstrated experience consulting, influencing without authority, effectively resolving conflict, and thriving in a fast-paced, decentralized, matrixed, global environment
  • Recognized organizational skills and ability to manage competing, high priority demands and projects simultaneously during times of organizational change
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Previous Human Resource Business Partner experience
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Proven track record of success developing and coaching others
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audience
