EHS Specialist

The EHS Specialist at MilliporeSigma in Sheboygan Falls, WI will provide Safety, Environmental and Occupational Hygiene assistance to Site Management by helping to prevent occupational injuries, illnesses, and incidents, and will comply with safety, environmental, and occupational hygiene regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

include: Review and maintain up to date safety programsEnsure risk assessments are being conductedIdentify risk reduction methods and assist in implementing themInvestigate incidents and injuries to closure of corresponding corrective actionsReview manufacturing procedures where applicableConduct safety inspections with managementConduct EHS trainingInteract with site management, supervision and personnel on EHS matters, to include collaborating with Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities on project workPrepare site's EHS compliance related reportsEnsure site's Emergency Preparedness and participate in the Emergency Response TeamPrepare for and participate in audits by regulatory bodies or internal audit teams and provide compliance assistance to site management that ensures robust processes and procedures are in place

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or other life science discipline AND 2+ years of EHS experience

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of EHS compliance experience in the chemical, speciality chemical or pharmaceutical industryMaster's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental EngineeringCertified Industrial Hygienist (American Board of Certified Industrial Hygienist) or Certified Safety Professional (Board of Certified Safety Professionals) or comparable certifying organization within the hiring country/regionAbility to productively and collaboratively foster management and employee participationExcellent communication and organization skillsExcellent computer skills
