What You Need for this Position Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience in designing and testing microelectronic subsystems
Analog and digital circuit design experience
Knowledge and experience with PCB layout techniques for noise immunity, circuit design, troubleshooting and EMI filter design
Schematic design and PCB layout experience (OrCAD and PADs preferred)
Logic design and VHDL programming for CPLD and FPGA (plus)
High-speed digital circuit design experience with microprocessors and DSPs (products from Xilinx, TI and Motorola is a plus)
What You Will Be Doing Design microelectronic subsystems/components to provide output electrical power for system control
Design cabling for electronics and power interconnections
Use proper materials and reference standards when needed to assure compliance
Source and integrate appropriate components compatible with PCBA circuitry and layout
Troubleshoot PCBA issues related to hardware malfunction, damage, electro-magnetic interference, and grounding
Design and automatic/manual test electronic and control electronic subsystems
Collaborate with supply chain personnel to develop and evaluate external vendors
Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to assure the electronics and control subsystems meet specifications and integrate within the desired System and Subsystem
Ensure regulatory compliance is maintained
