Electrical Estimator If you are a Senior or Chief Electrical Estimator with experience, please read on! Must live in or around LA or willing to relocate closer to LA

Our Estimator is our leader on projects and collaborates with other Estimators, clients and suppliers to prepare and complete bid/submittals for electrical construction projects. We are a local outfit with a steady pipeline of work - looking for multiple estimators due to growth. What You Will Be Doing - Develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates on which we base competitive bids and proposals for our client-base of General Contractors, Owners, Developers and end-users.
- Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
- Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
- Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.
- Draft scope letters, proposals and vendor solicitations.
- Attend job walks; pre-bid meetings; collaborations and conferences with clients and design professionals.
- Lead the functioning of the Estimating Department; the education and development of junior personnel; on-going development and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases; congenial relations with clients and vendors.
- Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm manner.
- Work on change-orders and cost-to-complete estimates of on-going projects.
- Help create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
- Review estimates created by others for accuracy and completeness
- Perform job handoffs from estimating to operations through clearly demonstrating detailed scopes of work, specifications and job specific conditions
What You Need for this Position - 3+ years of electrical estimating experience on public works projects
- Experience in MS Office Suite, Accubid, LiveCount, McCormick, and ConEst a plus
- Project list or Bid list helps
