Position Summary:

This role will serve as the bridge between the Information Technology (IT) department and the business units within our organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand the business needs, align technology solutions with business objectives, and drive the successful implementation and execution of IT initiatives. Your role will be pivotal in driving digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary driver to identify significant near and long-term opportunities for the adoption of emerging technologies that increase R&D scientists' ability to unlock scalable scientific value
  • Provide overall leadership and strategic guidance to plan and initiative projects that solve customer and scientist barriers to grow adoption of emerging technologies
  • Incorporate data from research, market analysis, customer/scientist feedback and compliance into technology product strategies that increase technology utilization across the whole product development pipeline
  • Define and analyze metrics to inform the success of initiatives and guide long term roadmaps
  • Represent the needs of scientists and create business cases that drive technology utilization and ROI
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and drive consensus across business lines to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Demonstrate independent judgement, problem solving skills, and ability to make timely decisions in the best interests of the customer and the company

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Veterinary Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8-10+ years of relevant work experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand complex business processes and challenges
  • Solid technical background and understanding of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with change management principles and experience driving organizational change
  • Excellent skills in the following competencies: organizing, planning, time management, quality, attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills with the ability to problem solve and provide solutions
  • Self-directed - can work with little/no direction to provide solutions/decisions for issues
  • Goal-oriented, strong desire to achieve and exceed expectations, consistently meets commitments
  • Proven ability to lead or work on several simultaneous projects or activities
  • Maintains a strategic outlook - has desire and ability to anticipate and plan for future change
