Chief Objective of Position:In consultation with the Director of University Events and collaboration with the University Events Team, the Events and Communication Coordinator for University Events assists with implementation, planning, marketing, and staffing for approximately 150 special events annually. The Coordinator will manage the marketing and communications efforts and assist with executing events for the Office of University Events.
Work Tasks:Master's Degree, or a Bachelor's Degree with work experience that equates to an advanced degree.
Experience Required:Experience in basic graphic design. Experience in producing web, print, and social applications. Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite or similar programs.
Experience Preferred:Experience with the methods, materials, equipment and techniques used for lighting and sound at events. Prior experience in a College or University setting. Working with Slate software. Experience coordinating a wide-variety of events. Experience creating invitations, flyers, emails, and social media marketing.
