VCA Brookline Animal Hospital is small animal, fast paced general medicine practice offering full service boarding and grooming in Brookline, Massachusetts. We are seeking an experienced Animal Care Attendant to join our kennel team. The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to their boarded and hospitalized pets.


Responsibilities and Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning cages.
  • Feeding and caring for dogs and cats
  • Walking dogs
  • Running play groups
  • Doing laundry and dishes
  • Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises.
  • Working with front desk and medical teams to ensure exceptional care of pets during their boarding stay
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong client relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to expert computer skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.
  • Compassion for pets and people-as well as awareness and understanding of others' reactions
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Scheduling flexibility to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
