About the Opportunity:

The Life Fitness Internship Program 2024 is now accepting applicants in their junior and senior year. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Summer interns. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Finance and develop valuable skills and contribute to Life Fitness' mission and goals.

Successful applicants will be assigned meaningful and challenging work suitable for their background. The program advisor(s) and mentors will meet with you regularly to identify and develop your summer objectives. All positions are PAID and based in the Chicagoland area. The Internship Program will run for three (3) months.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the day-to-day development related activities of the Finance team. These will include:
  

• Month End Reporting: Global consolidation of month end results, bridging analysis (vs Prior Forecast and prior Year), assist in preparation of Executive Reporting Package.
  
• Participate in prep and execution of our 6+6 Forecast Cycle.
  
• Perform ad hoc data analytics for our operations partners (Legal, IT & R&D business units).
  
• Manage the day-to-day requirements for our Appropriation Requests reporting process.
  

• Actively contribute and have an impact in a business-critical project.
  
• Perform day-to-day duties and responsibilities in related field or business function.
  
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a ten-week-long group case study and present the results to senior leaders, stakeholders, and managers.
  
• Attend and participate in team meetings.
  

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in full-time Finance related bachelor's degree program (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Business Administration), graduating in 2024 or 2025.
  
• Good academic standing, GPA 3.5 or higher.
  

• Initiative, positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  
• Excellent organizational skills
  
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to adapt well to different situations and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  
• Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
