General Summary
The Financial Clearance Coordinator will determine eligibility for third party payor benefits and obtain initial financial authorization when required. Notifies patient, family members, and clinical area of third party coverage authorization decisions pertaining to reimbursement of patient care. Identifies alternative payment options and refers appropriate cases to the Care Manager.
