What You Will Be Doing (THIS POSITION REPORTS TO REDMOND WA AND REQUIRES RELOCATION, RELOCATION PACKAGES AVAILABLE)

Primary Skills:
Responsibilities
Specify the design: Prepare FPGA Design Specification Word document, including Requirements, Theory of Operation, Block Diagram illustrating data, control, clock and power paths, and FPGA test plan. Prepare Software Interface Control Document describing programmable registers in Excel format (ICD)
Architect and code in Verilog and/or System Verilog the FPGA design. Prepare constraint files, instantiate IP blocks as needed
Design test benches and run thorough functional simulations. Work with software engineers to validate HAL-level software on the FPGA test platform
Work with board designers and software engineers to integrate FPGA into the final hardware. Supervise final FPGA test.

Secondary Skills:
Requirements
Requires deep experience in FPGA design, from Specification, through Architecture, RTL, Synthesis, Place & Route, and Lab Test.
Thorough fluency in Vivado and Quartus design environments.
Experience with PCIe, Ethernet IP design in Xilinx environment
Experience with DSP design (both processor and RTL-based) strongly desired.

Educational Qualifications
BSEE required. MSEE desirable
5+ years relevant design experience
FPGA Design is a must
Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, both software and hardware
Recent design experience with PCIe Gen2, Ethernet 1G
Superb RTL design and synthesis skills for FPGA with Xilinx or Altera
Great communicator, written and verbal
Positive personality great to work with
