About the role:

Everest Global ("Everest") is seeking a seasoned technology professional to lead the Global Network Engineering and Operations function within the Global Infrastructure Shared Services (GISS) organization. This position will report to the SVP of Global Infrastructure Services with significant responsibilities that span the broader IT community and business. As a key member of the GISS leadership team, this individual will play a critical role in the transformation of the global Network infrastructure to meet the firm's global expansion and growth while ensuring the highest level of availability, reliability, scalability, control, and security to support our 24/7 operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network management of traditional network and security technologies as well as having a deep understanding of more recent modern network architectures such as SASE & ZTNA. This high-profile role is pivotal to the success of an imminent global network modernization initiative, and therefore previous experience of network transformations including SD-WAN and SSE, plus Data Center migrations is a must. The Global Network Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

To be considered for this role, the candidate will need to be a proven thought leader across all dimensions of Network infrastructure, be able to demonstrate a proven history of leading similar efforts based on the size, scope and complexity of Everests' business and technology needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the network team in designing, configuring, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage and maintain the deployment of networking solutions, including switches, routers, load balancers, wireless, security appliances & services.
  • Plan, implement, and optimize SASE solutions to enhance network performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute data centre migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting network issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, security, and availability, and proactively address potential concerns.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in network architecture and operations.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop network team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
  • Proven experience as a Network Lead with a strong background in network design, implementation, and management including the Cloud.
  • Extensive experience working with networking solutions, including switches, routers, wireless technologies, and security appliances & services.
  • Solid understanding of SD-WAN/SSE concepts and hands-on experience with SD-WAN deployment and optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing data centre migrations or large-scale network transitions.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership and team management experience, with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in the related technology discipline - preferably possesses a master's degree
  • 20+ years of IT experience preferably in Insurance / Financial Services
  • 15+ years of experience in leading a Global Network Engineering and Operations team.
  • Network and Security certifications commensurate with scope of responsibilities
  • Strong experience across all aspects of technology operations and management
  • Deep experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting a global Network function.
