Government Sales Representative

Job Profile

  • Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers within the Government, Public Safety Market.
  • Promotes and sells technical solutions directly to Government, Public Safety entities.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of government procurement procedures and guidelines to ensure that the organization's sales initiatives are fully compliant; may be required to have security clearance
  • Identifies and develops new sales opportunities.
  • Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers.
  • Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account and growing the customer base by finding new business opportunities.
  • Conducts regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies.
  • Responsibilities are within the Account/Relationship Management Function.

Candidate Profile

  • Plans own territory or account approach and monitors resources while working within overall sales plan developed by manager.
  • Responsible for promoting products/services within a geographic territory in the Government, Public Safety Market.
