What is the position where you can add value? 

The Human Resources Generalist is a role within our Winston-Salem, NC plant location and will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting the designated location. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: training, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, safety, policy implementation, and event management. Additional responsibilities included in this role are: 

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company employees assists in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures. 
  • Timecards and Payroll administration including point system 
  • Partners with management and employees to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. 
  • Monitors the performance appraisal program. 
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all nonexempt personnel, interns and temporary employees; screens and interviews job applicants to fill entry-level, professional and technical job openings. 
  • Conducts new-employee onboarding utilizing the corporate onboarding program. 
  • Conducts exit interviews. 
  • Compiles HR reports from the database. 
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. 
  • Facilitates or provides training to the workforce. 
  • Active participant in the corporate Safety Program. 
  • Partners with management and the EHS Department in all aspects of Workers Compensation 
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all personnel files and related records to meet both company and legal requirements 
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs. 
 

What skills do you bring to the role?
  • College degree and minimum 3-5 years in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years in manufacturing environment is preferable
  • Proven ability to handle change in an ever changing environment
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to be responsive and persuasive at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
