Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HR Manager and Corporate Talent team to manage full cycle recruiting responsibilities including: scheduling interviews, scheduling and facilitating new hire onboarding, drafting and implementing hiring strategies to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds
  • Communicate and administer an on-going performance management program and partner with supervisors and managers on corrective actions and goal settings as needed
  • Ensure all personnel transactions are entered into the UKG system and appropriate information is uploaded to SharePoint payroll site.
  • Consults with line management to provide HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Provide support and counseling to employees regarding job-related conflicts, problem solving, and dispute resolution
  • Conducts and resolves complex employee relations issues by assisting with maintaining efficient, timely, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Partners with the HR Manager and HR group to develop solutions and programs to increase employee engagement
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition and service award programs
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of HR related communications (benefits, emails, policy changes, AppSpace, etc.)
  • Facilitate leave requests and ADA accommodation requests
  • Partner with HR Manager to monitor wage and hour rules to ensure compliance with all applicable laws
  • Maintain employee files ensuring documents and manuals are kept current, accurate, confidential and in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies
  • Review payroll changes with platform payroll administrator and business unit payroll specialist in conjunction with HR Manager

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business administration or a related field; certification in Human Resources preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of human resources experience, preferably in manufacturing, production, or a related industry.
  • Fluency in both English and Vietnamese would be a plus
  • Experience with unions and collective bargaining agreements strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, regulations, and statutes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRM systems
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to consolidate data into concise, executive-ready presentations and reports
  • Ability to make decisions and problem solve while working under pressure, as well as the ability to realize when a decision does not need to be made immediately but can wait.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively; ability to show judgement and initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and decorum
  • Ability and willingness to travel an estimated less than 5%

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to Sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to move about the facility and walk distances to perform employee check ins, site inspection, and other job related requirements.
  • Must be able to occasionally work in a dusty environment around metals
  • Sight - hand and eye coordination, depth perception needed to operate computer
  • Hearing - must be able to hear others on the phone or in person, warning sounds of forklift and other heavy machinery
  • Speech - must be able to communicate effectively with others while working
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and lift seldom to occasional
  • Must be able to sit, twist, reach, grasp, and fine manipulation occasional to constant
  • Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, reach overhead seldom to occasional
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
