POSITION SUMMARY:

The HUB Warehouse Supervisor - Cooler oversees all Cooler activities related to Temperature control shipments and pharmaceutical goods. The Supervisor leads, trains, and assists warehouse staff with proper cooler operations regarding receiving cargo, ULD build-up, cargo breakdown, and agricultural inspections. The Supervisor is responsible for keeping the cooler facility clean and in compliance with all applicable requirements, processes, and regulations. The HUB Warehouse Supervisor - Cooler must always follow Safety best practices and CEIV guidelines and requirements.

Job Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

  • Ensure proper and accurate reception of all temperature-controlled goods.
  • Maintain a constant line of communication with other operational departments regarding any inbound or outbound flights.
  • Maximize aircraft ULD pallet capability during the built-up cargo process.
  • Keep the cooler facility clean, organized, and presentable as described in the cleaning schedule.
  • Ensure the cooler temperature is kept within an acceptable range. Report anything affecting the integrity of the cooler facility, equipment, and temperature promptly.
  • Maintain cooler equipment and tools in working condition.
  • Recommend corrective measures for CAPA.
  • Participate in training seminars, informational meetings, and audits.
  • Audit cargo procedures are done accurately, and issue corrective measures, including Temperature Control Milestones Data Entry and issue corrective actions.
  • Follow CEIV guidelines and regulations.
  • Interaction with government agencies, CBP, FDA, DEA, Fish, and Wildlife, MDAD, as and when needed.
  • Monitor and schedule according to workflow demand.
  • Supervise a team of employees during shifts, review timecards & Time-Off requests.
  • Train and support the team on shift, so they can perform at their best.
  • Always consult on employee situations with Operations Manager, especially where corrective action plan is considered and in case of performance evaluations.
  • Generate incident reports upon occurrence.
  • Escalate problem issues to Operations Manager for further handling, if necessary.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • A self-starter is required, must be able to work effectively with minimal to no supervision.
  • Administration skills and proficient computer skills are mandatory.
  • Prior customer service and conflict resolution experience is necessary, strong interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Min. 3 years of warehouse experience is necessary with experience in the cooler preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Identification of HAZMAT Materials and knowledge of proper handling (Preferably).
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
  • Ability to author reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public.
  • Must be able to accomplish computerized transactions in PMI, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, UNIX, Lotus Notre and Internet Explorer.
  • Willingness to work 8-hr shift covering 24/7.
  • Pass a ten (10) years criminal record background check for SIDA badge.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will have direct reports and is considered a leader within the company. Will be required to train and support a team to achieve departmental goals.

Language Skills:

The employee must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills, be able to effectively present information, respond to questions, and proficiently write reports and business correspondence.

Physical Activities and Requirements of the Position:

The employee is regularly required to stand, frequently required walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Required to work in confined spaces and stand for extended periods.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; move about the facility. Must be able to work well under pressure. This position may require limited traveling.
