HVAC Maintenance Technician Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Tech is responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing commercial HVAC systems. This is a 1st shift position
Responsibilities

HVAC Maintenance Technician Duties & Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair HVAC systems
• Install, fabricate and/or connect compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion/discharge valves, temperature/humidity controls, and related components
• Planning and performance of work relating to repairs of mechanical and/or electrical equipment, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing
• Installing and aligning new equipment
• Maintain and be accountable for inventories, requisitions, materials and supplies needed for each job
• Recommend improvements and changes for increased quality or efficiency.
• Repair or assist in repairing equipment
• Works independently on projects of greater complexity and may provide direction to an assistant or less experienced maintenance staff
• Perform various tasks or projects as required by management
• Communicate effectively with external and internal customers and management
• Completes all other work related duties as assigned

Qualifications

HVAC Maintenance Technician Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Five years of commercial HVAC (or related military) experience
• Technical degree or equivalent experience
• EPA certification preferred
• Solid electrical and mechanical skills
• Strong communication skills and commitment to all rms Company work rules
• 100% dedication to working safely
• Previous experience coordinating with contractors on services and new installation
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.

HVAC Maintenance Technician Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and to stand, bend and stoop
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Intermittent exposure to safe levels of cleaning solutions, solvents, and solder (lead) fumes
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, around machinery that may be exposed to and around oils and solvents
