You've heard of, or even tasted, our products... now it's time to join the team that supplies the ice cream novelties you and your family love!Ice Cream Specialties (a division of Prairie Farms Dairy) in Brentwood, MO is looking to expand our 2nd shift supervisory team! We are seeking a highly energetic, mechanically inclined individual that can motivate and supervise our 2nd shift production employees, as well as contribute to our efforts towards continuous improvement of our business. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can lead our employees within a fast-paced, assembly line, production environment. Position Description:Shift: 2nd Hours: Monday - Friday, 2PM - 11PM (must be flexible, some Saturdays will be required and have ability to come in early or stay late as needed) Supervisor Duties Include but not limited to:Creates manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaches and provides feedback to employees; initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; monitors progress, revises schedules, reports results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.Maintains quality service by promoting and enforcing organization standards.Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answers questions and responds to requests.Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.Ensures product quality by leading, training, and directing employees to follow all GMPs and HACCP plans.Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action.Maintains communication with Production Manager and Quality Assurance Manager.Job Skills:Monitors production activities to eliminate downtime, delays and ensure adherence to production goals based on scheduling. Ensures efficient utilization of equipment and facilities. Monitors production quality.Maintains daily production records. Works with Production Manager to coordinate production employee training on job functions and the machine operations.Train and motivate staff Maintains cleanliness, ensures proper handling of tools and equipment, and monitors correct operation of machinery to ensure safety.Ensures food quality and safety.Continuous improvement or VFM program knowledge. Approves employee timecards for Payroll each week, keeps track of employee absences/qualifying documentsPerforms other related duties as assigned or requested. Requirements:High School DiplomaMust be able to maintain a high level of productivity while observing all safety rules, operations protocols, food quality and safety protocols, and while problem solving.2 years of experience as supervisor Maintenance knowledge & Mechanical background a plus!
