Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities related to design, development, implementation, and support of Integration solutions for the Enterprise using supported tools
  • Work with business analysts to identify and understand source and target systems along with their integration patterns
  • Point-of-contact for internal business and external vendor partners on issues or enhancement requests
  • Develop and provide technical solutions for issues or enhancement requests in support of business operations
  • Liaise with other technology specialists and software engineers/developers to assist with quality assurance, code logic, data processing, system design, and disaster recovery/resiliency
  • Ensure new integrations meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
  • Review and analyze existing Integrations' effectiveness and efficiency, and develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
  • Design, develop, and install enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new or changed integration software programs
  • Learn, contribute to functional policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Develop procedures, guidelines and documentation as needed for the Integration team
  • Work in close partnership with existing Data Management and Integration team to ensure overall cohesion of provided solutions
  • Evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure the final solutions meets the organizational needs and standards
  • Work closely with other technical members of the team to support SOA processes and translate requirements to SOA technical design, develop and unit test the SOA components as well as assist with deployment of developed components
  • Work with system operations team to ensure they are meeting technical and non-technical specifications, including service level agreements
  • Ability to rotate and provide on-call support 24/7 - server going down, etc. they rotate on some off hours if patching or maintenance is required

Integration Developer Responsibilities:
  • Develop and test integration touchpoints
  • Build Integration solutions which are easy to maintain and enhance
  • Provide visibility and monitoring of messaging and processing
  • Provide production support for both business hours and post-business hours as needed
  • Design, develop and maintain integration flows using different platforms, APIs, databases and data formats
  • Job responsibilities include application releases, patching and performance tuning of the entire technology stack 
  • Manage Tasks using Kanban/Azure Boards to collaborate with the team and to track progress

Key Skills & Deliverables:
  • Understanding of source and target data structures, transport mechanisms, and products
  • Knowledge of Integration design patterns and building solutions for scale and resiliency
  • Working knowledge of integrating applications using message-oriented middleware like IBM MQ
  • Excellent knowledge of programming in Python, Java
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • *Working knowledge of SOA across more than one product (including but not limited to Oracle Service Bus, Microsoft Service Bus, etc)
  • Hands on experience applying Service Oriented Architecture principles using orchestrated SOA workflow using Business Process Execution Language (BPEL)
  • Version control for integration touchpoints

Must Have:
  • Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems or computer science
  • Certifications in relevant technology(ies) is a plus
  • Extensive experience with core Integration technologies, including Oracle Fusion Middleware tool suite.
  • *4 to 6 years direct experience in SOA development and/or programming design and systems management.
  • *Technically fluent in programming languages, including Python and Java
  • *Experience working in Linux environments
  • *Experience in linux/shell scripting
  • *Experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience with integrating different data formats - XML/JSON/CSV/BAI/FIX
  • Knowledge/experience integrating with FIX Engines like Appia/Quickfix
  • Proven experience in development and implementation of integration software solutions.
  • Knowledge of solution design and file management techniques as well as a familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including iterative development
  • *Knowledge of Git/SVN, Jenkins
  • Working knowledge of network, server, and PC operating systems, including Windows, Linux
  • Excellent people skills - ability to build results-oriented relationships with technical and non-technical business partners; strong partnering skills
  • Strong follow-through skills, keen attention to deadlines, and the ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Desirable but not required - Knowledge/experience in cloud technologies like Kafka/Azure Synapse/Snowflake
