Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Intelligence Analyst L4 position in Crystal City, Virginia, and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to gather information to help us uncover and prevent criminal activities.

This position's main responsibility will include preparing intelligence reports, handling sensitive information and providing recommendations to various law enforcement departments as needed.The team's support services provide technical, administrative, and subject matter expertise.

Ultimately, you will work with a small team to use data and different reports to prevent criminal activity throughout the year.The team is asked use complex critical thinking skills to solve a broad range of complex program security dilemmas in a highly dynamic environment using your ability to quickly assimilate technical details to exploit foreign intelligence collection methodologies.

The top candidate must have excellent analytical skills, as you will review excessive amounts of information and reports. Also, you must have excellent communication skills to share the findings with different departments in a clear and concise manner.

Job Requirements:

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline

Skills / Experience Required

• 5+ years of professional experience in the intelligence field with proven ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Evaluate/examine information from a wide array of foreign sources
• Evaluate and assess gathered information and then analyzing and providing recommendations to various departments to act and mitigate threats as needed
• Develop meaningful intelligence assessments, free of bias
• Draft reports and create oral briefings
• Integrate the cultural context from foreign sources
• Knowledge and understanding of diverse cultures and regions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Driven/demonstrated reputation for providing high-quality work
• Cyber, data domain, coding/programming experience
• Perform research, think analytically, and apply good judgment to identify information and other data, dynamics, and risks based on client needs
• Aid in researching relevant sources for information on foreign intelligence targets
• Develop query strategies to obtain relevant research information
• Analyze foreign threat intelligence
• Assess validity and relevance of foreign intelligence
• Profile foreign targets and their activities
• Perform target discovery by developing strategies to obtain new information and sources for intelligence

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty pounds, as necessary.
