Position Overview:

The IT Systems and Services Lead is responsible for overseeing the support and maintenance of all IT Business hardware and systems within the Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex and connected Terminals. Serving as the central point of contact, this role manages support for IT Business Systems, encompassing server and storage systems, end-user devices, and local Active Directory management. The position focuses on evaluating systems to streamline processes, maintain data accuracy, improve existing procedures, and uphold system integrity through the utilization of standard development, monitoring, and analytic tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
  • Manage all aspects of the site's business Storage Area Networks (SANS) and other storage solutions, including backup processes oversight.
  • Serve as datacenter focal point for ensuring proper maintenance and operations of all security and environmental systems including data center access control, HVAC, electrical, and fire suppressant systems
  • Oversee all critical and routine operating system and hardware patching on all business IT systems
  • Monitor all business IT systems regularly for health, performance, and security.
  • Ensure all existing IT controls and processes are followed at defined intervals.
  • Coordinate with IT support personnel to engage necessary stakeholders for supporting all solutions.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand the needs and requirements for proposed projects
  • Coordinate resources to define solutions for identified initiatives.
  • Develop processes related to proposed solutions to ensure that systems are properly maintained and supported post-implementation.
  • Coordinate with corporate IT support personnel to ensure that all necessary stakeholders are engaged for supporting all solutions.
  • Collaborate with the OT Team to develop long-term strategy for shared key applications.
  • Assist with determining value of current systems and make recommendations for decommissions or replacements.
  • Make recommendations for new tools where current gaps exist.
  • Develop custom programs and scripts for fit-for-purpose tools where off-the-shelf applications do not exist.
  • Maintain documentation on all newly developed processes.
  • Utilize secure application development practices including requirements, definitions, design reviews, and development testing.
  • Utilize industry standard code versioning and repository tools for securely maintaining source code.
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to implement tools for enhancing ways of working.
  • Assist with development and identification of automated solutions where manual processes can be replaced.
  • Oversee end-user support
  • Provide hands-on end user support to assist the site as needed.

Experience and Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a similar technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience working in application development and systems integration.
  • 10+ years SQL experience
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and leading teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET/C# programming skills
  • Experience with supporting high-level network monitoring and logging applications (e.g. WhatsUpGold, PRTG, Splunk, Tenable, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory administration including Group Policy management

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling ... stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment... lifting up to 50lbs
