BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Java J2EE Developer in the New York & Delaware!

Job Title: Java J2EE Developer
Location: New York & Delaware (Hybrid)
Expected Duration: 06 Months Contract

Note:

• For New York location - Monday and Friday remote/ Tues, Weds, Thurs onsite
• For Delaware - 2 days in office Weds/Thurs...alternating Fridays in office
  
  

Roles and Responsibilities:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about building an innovative culture
• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages in particular, the Java/J2EE stack
• Experience with building APIs - RESTful APIs, Web Services, Spring Boot
• Working knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL.
• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Version Control tools (BitBucket, Git)
• Strong coding fundamentals - Algorithms & Data Structures
• Angular JS, React and/or JavaScript UI development is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of architecture & application design processes.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Passion for automating & excelling at identifying gaps in processes
• Strong bias for action; ability to take ownership and think long-term.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic

Skills:

• Advanced - 8+ years (NYC)
• Intermediate - 5+ years (DE)
• Java Microservices
• Spring boot

Skills (Nice to have)

• AWS public cloud
• SQL and/or NoSQL
• UI Development (Front end tools and skills)
