LEAD TECHNICAL SPECIALIST - SR. TECHNICAL SPECIALIST - SPACE ENGINEERING COST MODELING

Who We Are:

A multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, program managers, and technicians to develop spaceflight missions, spacecraft, spacecraft avionics systems, spacecraft payloads, and lighter than air systems. This position has the option of being a fully remote in the following states: AL, AZ, CO, Dis. of Columbia, FL, GA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NH, NJ, NC, OH, OK, OR, TX, UT, VA, WV only. Alternate work location is San Antonio, TX.

Objectives of this Role:

• Provide accurate mission, instrument, and avionics model-based cost estimates to increase potential and current customer confidence in accuracies of project cost.
• Provide model-based cost estimates to comply with new auditing regulations.
• Create cost model database from current projects so that future projects and proposals can produce parametric costs.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Use cost estimating models and tools to determine how much a program or subsystem will cost.
• Create cost model database from past projects and proposals.
• Participate in project team meetings to understand concept in order to refine cost models.
• Support proposal efforts by creating cost workbooks and preparing pricing.

Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelors with a 3.00 GPA in a science field or related STEM degree with related experience
• 6 years: Experience with complex data analytics and cost modeling tools for space-based programs, specifically: PRICE (required), NICM (required), MICM (desired), SOCM (desired), and PCEC (desired)
• An understanding of basic Finance fundamentals
• $68,474 - $131,269
• A valid/clear driver's license is required
