Eurofins DiscoverX is searching for a Project Manager based in the San Francisco Bay Area, to support and structure its rapid growth, from a Business Process perspective.

The Project Manager primary role is to coordinate and execute Business Process Improvement for Eurofins DiscoverX - The Products business within the global Eurofins Discovery division. As part of this role, it is expected from the Project Manager to drive (i.e. become owner and carry) the implemented / improved processes until further notice.

The Project Manager will be part of the newly created Business Process Improvement Team in charge of key strategic projects intended to create long term cost savings and efficiencies with measurable and positive ROI for Eurofins DiscoverX. They include but are not limited to:

  • Lean deployment initiatives;
  • Operational Transformation projects;
  • Real Estate / Facilities Footprint changes;
  • IT support / coordination projects;
  • Sales, Finance and Client Services Process re-engineering;
The areas subject to process improvement and streamlining projects within Eurofins DiscoverX include, but are not limited to, customer service, facilities, manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, shipping and logistics.

The responsibilities of the Associate Project Manager include but are not limited to:
  • Working closely with key stakeholders from different teams / departments to identify, facilitate and drive improvement projects until completion according to a stage-gated process;
  • Escalating potential concerns in deliverables or unforeseen issues, and soliciting feedback from local leaders in implementing contingency plans to mitigate risks;
  • Ensuring proper documentation of all key project deliverables on internal document management system (SharePoint), and coaching / training all key resources on this documentation;
  • Sharing and implementing lessons learned across projects and stakeholders as needed, as well as participating and leading continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

Education/Experience (BMQ):
  • Bachelors or Master degree in Business or Engineering or Sciences (with excellent academic record);
  • 3+ years of working experience in Lean and/or general Project Management;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (advanced level).
Additional preferences:
  • Certification in Project Management and/or Lean Management;
  • Experience in Management Consulting is preferred;
  • Some exposure to IT, operational efficiency or facilities construction projects;
  • Knowledge of pharma drug discovery industry;
  • Strong interpersonal, adaptation and communication skills;
  • Process oriented, critical thinking, hands-on / can-do attitude.
